It’s been a momentous day with two members of the Skillequal family earning England call-ups.
Nick Pope has been included in the senior squad for the first time after impressing between the sticks for Burnley throughout the campaign.
The goalkeeper, who has 10 clean sheets in the Premier League this term, has worked his way up from non-league football to become one of the best stoppers in the country.
10 – Nick Pope has conceded 22 Premier League goals this season, but based on Opta xG data for the shots on target he’s faced, the average goalkeeper would have been expected to concede 32. Just seven years after playing for eighth-tier outfit Bury Town, he now has a chance to put himself in the frame for a spot in the Three Lions’ World Cup squad.
We wish Nick all the best for the friendlies against Netherlands at the Johan Cruyff Arena on March 23 and Italy at Wembley on March 27.
Elsewhere, Keinan Davis is again involved in the Under-20s set-up for their two upcoming matches.
The Aston Villa forward has made 29 appearances in all competition’s for the Championship promotion chasers this term.

Keith Downing’s Young Lions play Poland in Bielsku-Bialej on March 22 and Portugal at Manchester City’s Academy Stadium on March 27.
As with Nick, Skillequal will be supporting Keinan all the way and we couldn’t be any prouder.
